Twelfth largest in Europe, Labe, (Elbe in English and German) rises in northern Bohemia. One of central Europe’s major waterways, Labe flows from Czechia through Germany to the North Sea. Along the river leads the EuroVelo 7, the Sun Route, that begins at the North Cape at the apex of Norway and ends at the bottom of Sicily, more exactly further south in Malta. While from one end to the other is almost 8,000 kilometers, you can ride only a short worthwhile segment of it, from Prague to Dresden or the other way around, a scenic river ride of a mere 230 km.
