Best of
Phnom Penh, Siem Reap and the Beach
Day 1: Arrival and
Phnom Penh City Tour
Day 2: Phnom Penh to Sihanoukville overland;
swim and relax at the beach
Day 3: Kbal Chhay waterfall
and return to Phnom Penh
Day 4: Fly to Siem Reap, tour Rolous Group including Preah Ko, Bakong
and Lo Lei. Afternoon tour Small Circuit including Prasat Kravan, Banteay Kdei, Srah Srang (Royal Bath), Ta Prohm, Takeo,
Thommanon and Chau Say Tevoda.
Day 5: South Gate of Angkor Thom and Angkor Wat; sunset at
Phnom Bakheng Hill.

Kuk to Siem Reap
Day 1: Arrival and
Phnom Penh City tour
Day 2: Toul Sleng
Genocide Museum and Cheung Ek Killing field.
Afternoon continue city sightseeing and shop at
Central Market.
Day 3:
Morning excursion to Kampong Cham, visit Kuhear Moha
Nokor Temple (Wat Nokor) and Phnom Pros (MenHill) & Phnom Srey (Women Hill).
From here continue to Kompong Thom
for overnight.
Day 4: Today visit the
untouched Sambor Prei Kuk,
a temple complex dating back to 615-650AD, from the pre-Angkor
period. Located some 30 Km from Kampong the site consists of
some 200 temple ruins. Next proceed to Siem Reap, on the way stop at
Kompong Kday bridge,
the longest one of the ancient Angkor period bridges, 80m
long and 14m wide.
Day 5: Tour temples
and sites of the Rolous Group and
the Small Circuit.
Day 6: Tour South Gate
of Angkor Thom, Bayon, Baphoun,
Terrace of the Elephants and Terrace of the Leper King.
Afternoon visit impressive Angkor Wat and
view sunset at Phnom Bakheng Hill. Overnight Siem Reap. {B}

Visit War Museum and
Les Artisans d’Angkor;
time permitting visit Siem Reap Market. Departure.

and Battambang: the magic of Cambodia
Day 1: Arrival in Siem
Reap and Small Circuit
Day 2: South Gate of Angkor Thom and
Angkor Wat
Day 3: Banteay Srei and

Day 4: War Museum and
Morning visit War Museum, Les Artisans d’Angkor -
Chantiers Ecole, Siem
Reap Market, floating village and boat
trip on Tonle Sap.
Day 5: Full-day tour
to Kulen Mountain, Linga carvings, Sleeping Buddha, and the Waterfall of Phnom Kulen. Afternoon
visit Beng Melea, the
remote and largely overrun by vegetation
temple, among the least visited temples in Siem Reap
province.
Day 6:Excursion to the
northwest province of Banteay
Mean Chey. Drive via Sisophon
to visit the enormous site of the former temple city
of Banteay Chhmar. One of the
capitals of Jayavarman II, Banteay Chhmar was dedicated to his sons and generals
killed during the Cham invasion of 1177. Constructed of sandstone,
the temple city was built between the 11th to 13th
centuries, however, little remains of the city at large. The
temple, constituting the center point of the once grand city
is dedicated to Avalokiteshvara, the Bodhisattva of
Compassion. Although Banteay Chhmar suffered during
repeated Thai invasions, its huge
bas-reliefs remain and are considered superb and in
execution and detail rival those of the Bayon temple and Angkor Wat.
Continue to Banteay
Torp temple, located south of
Banteay Chhmar another sandstone temple with five towers,
have lunch on site before returning
back to Battambang for overnight.
Day 7: Explore more of
Battambang and its
vicinity. Begin with a visit to the Provincial Museum, then drive along the
picturesque Sangker River to the 11th century Wat Ek Phnom.
From here continue to Phnom Sampeau
and the killing field and cave,
another site of Khmer Rouge atrocities. Afternoon visit
temple of five sandstone towers, Prasat
Phnom Banon, mounting
the summit of Phnom Banon,
a prominent hill offering fine views of the surrounding
countryside. Next ride
Bamboo Train, aka
Lorry back to Battambang.
Upon return stroll through the town to discover its beautiful Colonial
architecture.
Day 8:
Drive to Phnom Penh, approximately 290 km, circa four hours
ride, check in your hotel. In the afternoon take a half-day
Phnom Penh City Tour, including a visit to the National
Museum of Khmer Arts, Silver Pagoda and Wat Phnom Hill.
Day 9: In the morning
tour Toul Sleng Museum and Cheung Ek Killing
field. After lunch continue to National Library,
Independence Monument and the Central Market.
Day 10: Depart
