Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrival in Panama
Upon arrival our representative will
meet you at Tocumen International Airport and
transfer you to your hotel, the Country Inn & Suites
on the Amador Causeway (or similar). Spend the
evening biking on the scenic causeway, which joins
three islands to the mainland, then enjoy the
restaurants, cafes and bars overlooking Pacific
entrance to the Canal and the skyline of Panama
City.
Day 2: Panama City & Canal Tour
After breakfast, we will enjoy a tour of Panama
City’s most historic sights with a bilingual guide
specializing in Panama’s fascinating history. You
will walk through the ruins of Panama Viejo, founded
in 1519 and later burned to the ground by the pirate
Henry Morgan. Then we’ll visit the colonial quarters
of Casco Viejo (the walled city) and stop at the
picturesque French Plaza. Our final stop will be the
Panama Canal to observe the operations of this
engineering marvel. Afternoon free to enjoy at your
hotel’s pool or exploring Panama City’s shopping
district or arts & crafts markets.

Day 3: Panama City/Gamboa Rainforest Resort
Breakfast then depart from your hotel at 8:00 AM for
a trip into the rainforest and a unique cultural
experience with the Embera Indians of Chagres
National Park. We will go to the launching point on
the Chagres River where your Embera guides will be
awaiting you. Then we travel up river for about an
hour in motorized canoe to their village to spend
the afternoon. Learn about the Embera culture and
traditions, swim under a forest waterfall, enjoy
lunch on a banana-leaf plate and even try their
traditional tattoo painting. (This tour is suitable
for children over 6 years.) Overnight at Gamboa

Day 4: Gamboa Rainforest Resort
After breakfast, take the hotel transport to the
marina below the resort for a cruise to Monkey
Island in Lake Gatun. Rest of afternoon free to
enjoy the resort’s animal and nature exhibits,
including a butterfly house, crocodile pool and
aerial tram (optional). Overnight at Gamboa Resort.

Day 5: Gamboa/Decameron Costa Blanca Resort
Depart hotel after breakfast for the Pacific Coast’s
best beach and resort, the Decameron Costa Blanca.
This all-inclusive resort features seven beach-front
swimming pools, seven restaurants and bars, nightly
shows, and use of games and sports equipment on the
beach. (BLD)
Day 6: Decameron Costa Blanca
Enjoy another fun family day on the beach at the
Decameron Resort. (BLD)
Day 7: Decameron-Panama City
After lunch pack your bags for the transfer back to
Panama City. Overnight at a hotel in the city.

At
the appropriate time, you will be transferred to the
international airport for your flight out.
