Rakaposhi & Khunjerab
Hindukush-Karakoram
K-2 Base Camp

Pakistan
If you
have been fascinated by the highest mountain ranges of
the world and mesmerized by the cultures that populate
them, your image of these landscapes and lifestyles will
never be complete if you will not have seen the magic of
the Hindukush and the Karakoram of northern Pakistan. We
offer three tours in the region.
Rakaposhi & Khunjerab
is a great
tour combining a rewarding 5-day trek to the Rakaposhi
(7,788m, 25,550 ft.) and Diran base camps with a full length
traverse of the Karakoram Highway from Islamabad to the
Chinese border at the top of the Khunjerab Pass.
Hindukush-Karakoram
is undeniably the most fascinating tour of the north of
Pakistan's Shangri-La valleys we can offer. It packs in the
magic of Swat, the mysterious Kalash region, the wilds of
Chitral, the beauty of Gilgit and Hunza, and the awesome
grandeur of Skardu's panorama of the Karakoram's giant
peaks.
Karakoram's K-2 peak (8,611m, 28,268 ft.) ranks second
only to Everest.
K-2 Base Camp
Considered more demanding to scale, K2 is nestled among
other giants of the region - Hidden Peak (8068m, 26,470
ft.), Broad Peak (8,047m / 26,444 ft.), Gasherbrum III
(7,952m, 26,362ft.), Gaserbrum IV (7,925m, 26,014 ft.) and
Nanga Parbat 8,125m, 26,652 ft.), among others. Our K2 Base
Camp trek offers the best of the Karakoram and is considered
among the most spectacular treks for panoramas of mountains
and glaciers in the world. |
