1 : ARRIVAL AT GUATEMALA CITY -
ANTIGUA
Arrival at the International Airport
La Aurora in Guatemala City.
Transfer to the historical city of
Antigua, which was declared by the
UNESCO as World Heritage Site.

ANTIGUA – PANAJACHEL
In
the morning, walking tour through
the streets of the enchanting city
of Antigua; enjoy
its cultural and colonial riches
with interesting museums and
splendid landscapes - the Plaza Central, the Cathedral, La
Merced Church, the Monastery of the
Capuchins, the Arms Museum, the Old
University and a coffee roasting
plant.
Afternoon transfer to Panajachel on the Atitlán Lake. Hotel Atitlán or similar.
DAY 3: PANAJACHEL
– QUETZALTENANGO
During the morning boat tour on the
beautiful 125 km2 surface of Lake Atitlán
with a backdrop of three
volcanoes. Visit the picturesque
town of Santiago to learn about the
traditions and typical dresses of
its inhabitants. In the
afternoon departure to Quetzaltenango, a
marvelous city in
the highlands, located in a valley surrounded by mountains and
volcanoes.

DAY 4:
QUETZALTENANGO – CHICHICASTENANGO –
GUATEMALA CITY
Departure to Chichicastenango. Visit
the largest
Indian market of the country, witness
religious activity in the Saint
Thomas Church, a splendid
colonial structure, built in 1540 over the
archaeological ruins of a
pre-Columbian temple. Afternoon
transfer to Guatemala City .

DAY 5: Guatemala
– El salvador – SAN SALVADOR CITY
TOUR
Transfer to the Airport for your
flight to El Salvador. In the
afternoon a city tour of San
Salvador - the National
Theatre, the National Palace, the
residential areas of San Benito and Maquilishuat, Planes de Renderos,
Parque Balboa and the town of
Panchimalco with its colonial
church.

DAY 6: SAN
VICENTE - SAN MIGUEL – PERQUÍN – EL
MOZOTE
Departure from San Salvador passing
by San Vicente with a short stop at
San Miguel in the Iboa Valley; continue to Perquín
in the
mountainous region of Morazán. The
little town houses the Peace Museum
established by the ex-guerillas.
Visit the community of El Mozote and
learn about the last civil war.
Return to San Salvador. Hotel Alameda or similar.
DAY 7: SAN
SALVADOR – SUCHITOTO – LA PALMA –
HONDURAS (COPÁN )
Departure to Suchitoto, a place of
birds and flowers, and rich in rural
traditions and architecture.
Contine through sugar cane,
corn and beans plantations to arrive
at La Palma well known through the
artist Fernando Llort who found here
his inspirations for his primitivist-style
of
art work. Continue to the border
with Honduras and on to Santa Rosa
de Copán. Hotel Marina Copán or similar.
DAY
8: COPÁN ARCHAEOLOGICAL PARK
During the morning visit of the
Copán Archaeological Park, which is
divided in two parts: the main site
or ceremonial group, and the
sepultures. Admire the breathtaking Escalinata
de los Jeroglíficos with more than 2.500
glyphs and its masterly carved
steles. Afternoon visit of the
sepultures site.

DAY 9: COPÁN -
SANTA BÁRBARA – YOJOA LAKE
Departure to San Bárbara. Visit the
Cultural Center Hibueras; continue to Yoyoa Lake .

10: YOJOA LAKE – GUASAULE (Border) –
LEÓN – MANAGUA (NICARAGUA)
Departure to Guasaule at the border
with Nicaragua . Continue to the colonial City of León,
built in 1610 after the first
original settlement was destroyed by
an earthquake caused by the
Momotombo Volcano in 1609. Visit
the Cathedral, the
largest in Central America, and the Hervideros (boiling
mud pools) of San
Jacinto. Continue to Managua.

DAY 11: MASAYA
NATIONAL PARK AND MARKET – GRANADA
AND THE ISLETS
Departure to Masaya Volcano National Park;
then the the famous
Masaya handicraft market, on to Catarina to admire the
spectacular view of Laguna Apoyo and
Nicaragua's row of volcanoes. Next
to the
colonial city of Granada, founded by the
Spaniards in
1524; take private boat tour
to visit the Isletas (small islands)
of Lake Nicaragua; then tour
Granada, its Museum
of pre-Columbian Art and the San
Francisco Convent.

DAY 12: GRANADA –
SAN JORGE – OMETEPE
Departure from Granada to the
port of San Jorge. Ferry
transfer to Ometepe to visit the
largest island on the Nicaragua Lake. Two massive volcanoes form the
island, the Concepción and the
Maderas, the later with an
extensive cloud forest.

DAY
13 : OMETEPE - BORDER –COROBICÍ
RIVER- ARENAL VOLCANO/TABACÓN
Return to the mainland and
continue to the Border with
Costa Rica.
Drive the Pan American Highway to
Cañas. Rafting tour on the Corobicí
River to admire the beauty of the
dry forest with its hundreds of
migratory birds and other animals.
Continue around the Arenal Lake
to La Fortuna.
Afternoon, past the Arenal Volcano with
its perfect conic form and
its lava eruptions to the hot
springs at Tabacón Resort with its
idyllic tropical gardens.

DAY 14: ARENAL –
SARAPIQUÍ - TORTUGUERO NATIONAL PARK
Departure to the San Carlos
lowlands to arrive at Puerto
Viejo de Sarapiquí. Board the boat that
will take you through the Sarapiquí
and San Juan Rivers to the
Tortuguero Canals. You will admire
the great diversity of flora and
fauna, for example, sloths, monkeys,
crocodiles, green turtles and more.

15 : TORTUGUERO - BRAULIO CARRILLO
NATIONAL PARK - SAN JOSÉ
Enjoy a Sunrise Boat Tour
through the small canals of the
National Park with its 309 different
bird species, its swamp forest and
floating aquatic plants. After
breakfast, enjoy another ride
through the canals on your way to
the embarcation point by Matina/Freeman,
from here on by road to San
José.
Late afternoon, walking tour of
downtown San José to see the Post
Building, the Cathedral, the
Central Park and the National
Theatre.

DAY 16: SAN JOSÉ
– CARARA NATIONAL PARK – MANUEL
ANTONIO
Departure from San José to visit
Carara Transition Forest National
Park, a climatic transitional
zone between the dry North Pacific
and the humid South Coast. You may see macaws, parrots,
partridges, toucans, flycatchers,
humming birds, howler monkeys,
coatis, sloths and armadillos.
Continue to Quepos to arrive at
Manuel Antonio National Park.

DAY 17: MANUEL
ANTONIO NATIONAL PARK AND BEACHES -
PANAMA CITY
Early morning
tour of the
rain
forest of this unique National Park,
then enjoy the beautiful beaches of
Manuel Antonio. Afternoon transfer to San
José for your night flight to Panamá.
Arrival at the International Airport

18: PANAMA CITY AND THE FAMOUS CANAL
Departure to observe
the operations of the Miraflores
Locks on the Pacific entrance of the
Panama Canal, then to the Interoceanic Canal Museum. Later
you will visit the Casco Viejo, a
colonial area that includes Spanish,
French and Italian architectural
styles. On to visit the
modern part of the city with its
skyscraper skyline; last see the ruins of Old
Panama dating back to the XVI Century.

DAY 19: PANAMA
CITY – SAN BLAS ISLAND AND THE KUNA
INDIANS
Early
morning departure for a short flight
to the Caribbean Coast of Panamá.
Boat transfer to the Island of
Wichub-Wala site of the Kuna
Indigenous Community. Tour the Grass
Island and observe the traditions
and ancient culture of these
aborigines.

20: SAN BLAS – PANAMA CITY –
METROPOLITAN PARK - DEPARTURE
Early
departure to Panama City. Visit the
Metropolitan Park to enjoy the rain
forest. Afternoon transfer to the Airport
for your departure.
