This is really a
different trek,
a new way of exploring
the most fascinating areas of Buddhist Land in the
Mount Everest region. The trek won't just allow you to marvel
at the beauty of the High Himalaya but expose you to
practices of Buddhism, to witness as well as take part
in practice of meditation, while visiting seven
more than 250 years old Vejrayana and Mahayana
monasteries of the region.

Itinerary:
Peace and
compassion practice and trek in the Lower Everest
Region is a one of a kind
experience. During this trek you'll enjoy
magnificent views of Mount Everest as well as of
many of the other highest mountains of the world
located in the Eastern Himalaya Ranges of Nepal, such as Kanchenjunga, Makalu, Gaurishanker etc., and
you'll have a fine opportunity to interact
with the Sherpa people, their way of life,
culture and religion. Above all you'll practice
meditation, partake in pujas with monks and nuns
of the local monasteries, and receive teachings
on the Four Noble Truth and other precepts of
Buddhism.
Day 01: Arrival and transfer to hotel.
Day 02:
Temple monuments of Kathmandu Valley
sightseeing.
Day 03:
Transfer to domestic airport for flight to
Phaplu.
A 35 minute flight
from Kathmandu takes you to Phaplu, the gateway
to our meditation tour. The trek & meditation
team will receive you at the airport. Today you
will visit agricultural farm; a Hospital founded
by Sir Edmund Hillary, then you'll pray for
those who grief with unwanted suffering. Next
enjoy viewing Gaurishanker, Karelung & Numbur
Himalayas while having lunch. After lunch you
will visit Sallery, and its local market.
Then it is back to campside to receive the
teaching and start your evening meditation.
Dinner and overnight will be spent around Phaplu
(1900m).

of suffering“)
After breakfast,
start the meditation walk towards Junbasi.
Today's trail is easy and flat. During the walk
you will see Buddhist Stupas and observe local
people passing by. Wonderful views of high
Himalaya and monasteries while walking through
Sherpa villages. Lunch stop on the trek, dinner
and overnight in camp around Junbasi. (2200 M)
Evening
meditation, and teachings before dinner.
Duration: 5-5½
Hours. Trail: passing through villages; (Easy
Trail)
(The Four Noble
Truths “the causes of suffering”)
(The Four Noble
Truths “the cessation of the causes of
suffering”)
After breakfast,
start walking meditations towards Thupten
Choling. Today’s trail will be slightly uphill
along Dudh Koshi River. En-route you will visit
Thupten Choling Buddhist Monastery which is the
biggest monastery in this area. Lunch en-route.
After lunch, you will trek 2 hours to reach camp
site. Dinner and overnight in camp around
Thupten Choling, evening meditation, and
teachings.

Truths “the path that leads to the cessation of
the causes of suffering”)
Early morning we
have tea then need to be ready to do Puja with
monks and have morning meditations and prayers
with over 600 monks and nuns. After lunch rest.
Evening Puja once again in monastery, followed
by questions and answers about Buddhism. Then we
have dinner and overnight.
(Teaching on “Right Thought or Intention”,
“Renunciations, Good Will, and Harmlessness”)
After breakfast walking
mediations and trek to Singsary. Lunch en-route.
Enjoy beautiful views, follow jungle route and
reach the camp side. Camp on top of the Singsary
hill (4186 m), followed by meditations, and
teachings.
Duration: 4 Hours; Trail:
Easy trail uphill (really different feelings and
different experiences practicing spirituality
above 4186; you'll feel real peace in your life,
and at that time you‘ll truly realize the great
heaven on earth
(teachings on “right speech”, “ Lies are Lies”)
Prayer and then
have tea. After breakfast, start walking towards
Beni passing through Jungle. Lunch en-route.
After lunch trek about 4 hours to reach
campsite. Dinner and overnight in camp around
Beni. This day short teachings as well as
meditations because we need to walk quite a long
way.
Duration: 7-7½.
Hours. Trail: Passing through Jungle.
(Teachings on
“Right Action” “being Happy with what we Have”)
(Morning mediations.) After
Breakfast, trek towards Taksindo. Today you will
walk through the jungle on a downhill trail
viewing many mountains on the way. Lunch
en-route. Dinner and overnight in camp around
Taksindo.
Duration: 6-7½. Hours.
Trail: Passing through Jungle.
(Teachings on “Right
Mindfulness“ “four Foundations of Mindfulness“)
Early morning meditations,
Breakfast, take pictures or visit monastery of
the area and start walking meditation towards
Mera (Sherab choling monastery.) Lunch en-route,
evening warch Dance Program by local women and
men. If you'll like to dance, you can definitely
join them! The dance music is (1) compassion and
wish for the removal of suffering from all
living beings, (2) prayer for your longevity and
happiness for the rest of your life. After dance
you’ll receive teachings from High Guru and have
discussion about spirituality. Evening
meditations. Then Dinner with Local family and
overnight in Mera.

Absorptions”)
Early morning meditations,
then join Puja in monastery. After Puja we have
Breakfast, take pictures of the area and start
walking meditation towards Ratnage. Today you
will view many mountains when you reach the top
of Ratnage. Lunch en-route. Dinner and overnight
in camp around Ratnage. Evening teachings and
discussion about the way of life, and small
workshop in our camp next day. From Ratnage you
will see Merala Mountain, Kanchanganja, Makalu
and even Mt. EVEREST. Duration: 3-7½. Hours:
Trail: Passing through Jungle.
(Teachings on “
Right View or Understanding” “Staying on the
Path”
After Breakfast,
if weather is clear you will see beautiful
Sunrise Reflecting from the Mountain. Start
peace walk towards Chalsa. Lunch en-route.
Dinner and overnight in camp around Chalsa. You
will visit Tibetan Refugee Camp, Handicraft
Center and Carpet Factory. In evening you visit
Guru Gumba, and meditate in front of Mahakala,
the lord of death; if you feel good then you can
try peaceful dying meditations with Mahakala.
After prayer and meditation you’ll have a dinner
and overnight in Chalsa. Duration: 4-4½. Hours.
Trail: Following Ridge.
(Teachings on “the six perfections” “cultivating
Morality”)
After Breakfast, start the
walk towards the 245 year old Chiwang monastery.
Same day we join evening puja in Chiwang
monastery, and have evening meditations and
discuss about Buddhism and spirituality,
receiving teachings from Lama.
Dinner and overnight in
Chiwang. Duration: 4- Hours. Trail passing
through Sherpa villages.

perfections” “Patience, Accepting Suffering”,
Joyful Effort, Three Aspects of Joyful Effort”)
We’ll have a meditation
practice on rocky hilltop before breakfast, and
then we’ll serve tea and coffee; from here you
can enjoy wonderful views of Phaplu and the
other mountain villages. After breakfast if you
would like to join the monks’ ritual performance
you’ll be the most welcome guests. After the
ritual performance, we will take you back to the
Camp, so if you have any questions or doubt
about Buddhist Cosmology again, we will be there
for you to solve the problems. Then back to
camp, have dinner and overnight in Chiwang.

Mind” “Three stages of Single-Pointed Mind”)
Early morning
meditation in monastery, back to camp and
breakfast, then peace walk to Phaplu through
Sherpa Villages. Lunch and Dinner in Phaplu and
overnight around Phaplu. Enjoy an evening
of cultural dance, Sherpa and Tamang teachings,
and final party.

Day 16:
After Breakfast, your program ends with your
flight back to Kathmandu and transfer to hotel.
Day 17:
Rest or shop for souvenirs in Katmandu.
