Annapurna Circuit Trek
Nepal Tours main page

To cross the Thorung La and circle the Annapurna massif is a trek of over 150 miles/240 km but the rewards certainly compensate the effort. Following the Marsyangdi River Valley, we reach Manang, a village in the rain-shadow of the high Himalaya. From Manang it's steeply up to the crest of Thorung La at 16,050 feet/4,892 m, then down to Muktinath and the Kali Gandaki watershed. From here it's pleasant trek along the river in between the towering giants of Annapurna and Dhaulagiri.
