Yambong
Singalila Trek
Singalila is the name applied to the mountain range that covers the sacred
landscape of Mt. Khangchendzonga. Yambong Singalila trail is a
hidden
paradise trek that offers spectacular panoramic views of
Mt. Khangchendzonga, Mt. Pandim, Mt. Kabru, and the adjoining
ranges and constitutes a great alternative to the other routes,
namely the popular Dzongri Ridge Route.

As on all of our other
Sikkim treks (below), we customize your group's
itinerary from Bagdogra and bring you back to Bagdogra.
On request we can tailor in a visit to Darjeeling,
Gangtok or Kalimpong. Hotel accommodations are included
at Pelling and Yuksom. On the trek we arrange home-stay in villages,
and camp away from villages. The trek is 12 days, excluding rest days;
typically we structure 2 rest days, each after 6 days. The first rest day
is at Upper Yambong; here you get wonderful
sunrise and sunset from Dafey bhir wiew point (5100 mts).
The second rest day is at Dzongri which offers
spectacular views of Khangchendzonga, Pandim,
and Mt. Kabur.

Himalayan Heritage Hamlet
Trek
This 11 day trek passes through some of the remotest
villages of Sikkim where the traditional culture is
still rich, vibrant and alive. The average altitude of
the trek is 1800 meters and even the aged and children
can complete this trek easily. One can experience the
lifestyle of the yak herders at Chongri, Limboo culture
at Topung, Bhutia culture at Melli, make a wish at the
Khecheopalri wishing lake, Gurung sheep herders at
Pokhri Danra and Labdang, Lepcha indigenous community at
Martam, see the archaeological delights at Yuksam, the
first capital of Sikkim and in the end relax in the
healing waters of the Borong Heritage hot spring. Best
season for this village trek is from October to April.

Dzongri Ridge Trek
This is the most popular trek in Sikkim.
Best Season: October-December;
February-May.
Difficulty: Easy to Moderate.
