Nestled in the heart of
Kumaon Hills is Kalmatia Sangam Himalaya Resort. In 1867
a British Captain ES Jackson discovered this place of
beauty and erected a house in the British Colonial
Style.
At the end of the century the estate was bought
by Edward Thomas Choudhry, the District Commissioner of
Kumaon.

Today the Estate and Resort are presided over by
his grand daughter Geeta Reeb and her German husband
Dieter Reeb. The Resort offers one of the most exclusive
and unusual accommodations in Uttaranchal. From the
architecture to the cuisine from the décor to the
service.
Kalmatia Sangam is perched on a hill surrounded by
cedars, cypresses, mimosa, wild cherry, pines, oaks,
rhododendrons and other trees.
The accommodations are in British colonial style with
Kumaoni Inspiration, the cottages are constructed with a
minute eye to comfort, elegance and taste.
