Itinerary
ARRIVE: Guatemala City
DEPART: Belize City
SAT Day 1: ARRIVAL –TRANSFER TO ANTIGUA
Upon arrival at Guatemala City airport and transfer to the
beautiful city of Antigua. Approx 45mins Transfer.

SUN Day 2: ANTIGUA WALKING TOUR (B)
Antigua is a stunningly beautiful and elegant colonial town
with cobblestone streets, tranquil parks, numerous palaces &
cathedrals. This morning we will provide guests with a
guided tour of Antigua to learn about the main architectural
monuments and history. In the afternoon we will leave guests
to explore & enjoy Antigua.
MON Day 3: COFFEE FARM & MAYA MUSEUM (B)
Guatemala is famous for its coffee and for its strong hold
on its Maya traditions. Guests can enjoy insights into both
these on a guided tour of the Azotea working Coffee Farm
museum and Maya Traditions museums. Enjoy learning about the
history and processes of coffee production as well as the
traditional instruments, music, textiles and everyday
traditions of the Maya people. Free afternoon in Antigua.
TUE Day 4: COMALAPA MARKET , LAKE ATITLAN (B, L)
Today guests transfer deeper into the highlands, first to
visit the bustling, colourful market at Comalapa and then
onto the famous Lake Atitlan. In Comalapa guests can enjoy
the color and atmosphere of a local market as well as visit
some local artists to see the primitive paintings that this
town is so famous for. On the way to the lake we will stop
to enjoy a traditional lunch. Lake Atitlan has been called
by many, “the most beautiful lake in the world”. It is
indeed an amazing setting with the crystal blue waters of
the lake surrounded by the three lofty peaks of Toliman, San
Pedro and Atitlan Volcanoes. Posada Don Rodrigo or Similar.

WED Day 5: DAY AT THE LAKE – SANTIAGO (B,L)
Today your guests will take a private boat with guide to
explore one of the more traditional villages surrounding the
lake to experience the local indigenous customs, traditions,
dress and crafts. In Santiago, your guide will show guests
where the local Mayan community worship an image called
Maximon feeding him alcohol and cigarettes in an attempt to
make their wishes come true as
well as other “Cofradia” houses where other Maya Gods are
revered. Lunch is provided at Posada Santiago. Rest of the
afternoon is free to explore the markets of Panajachel,
relax or our guide can help you arrange kayaking, horse
riding, hiking.
THUR Day 6: TRIP TO CHICHICASTENANGO (B,L)
Chichicastenango is famous for its large craft market on
Sunday and Thursday when craftsmen and villagers from all
over the highlands converge on this small town to sell their
wares. Sunday is an interesting day to visit because as well
as the hugely colorful market, many village shamans will
come from miles around to “Chichi”, as the locals call it,
to perform Mayan rituals on behalf of people in their
community. After the visit to Chichi we will have lunch in
St Tomas hotel and then transfer on to Antigua to have a
free

FRI Day 7: YAXHA TOUR (B,L)
This morning we will transfer guests to Guatemala City for
their internal flight up into the northern rainforest to
their hotel on the banks of the Peten Itza Lake. In the
northern rainforest area of the Peten there are numerous
ancient Mayan temple sites and bountiful tropical wildlife.
After lunch and a rest at the hotel we will transfer
guests deep into the rainforest to visit the beautiful and
atmospheric site of Yaxha & to watch the sunset from the top
of the main temple. Villa Maya (AC)
SAT Day 8: GUIDED TOUR OF TIKAL (B,L)
Any early start today in order to see the best of the
tropical wildlife and to have the site all to yourselves!
Today we will visit the world famous site of Tikal. In the
mid afternoon, guests transfer over the border into Belize.

SUN Day 9: Xunantunich, Cahal Pech & San Ignacio (B,L)
Today we take a tour to the famous sites of Xunantunich –
situated on the banks of the Mopan River and Cahal Pech
located just outside the town of San Ignacio. We enjoy a
local lunch and also have time to explore San Ignacio.
MON Day10: Barton Creek Cave Adventure (B)
We transfer up towards the Pine Forest Region of Belize to
the entrance of Barton Creek Cave. Here we board canoes
which are expertly maneuvered by our guide to take us
downriver, into the cave system to explore the beautiful
formations and ancient Maya ceremony sites. Free afternoon
back at the lodge to take part in the many activities on
offer.
TUE Day 11: Caracol and Mountain Pine ridge. (B,L)
After breakfast guests travel on dirt roads through the pine
forest region and down into the rainforest to the largest,
most impressive Maya Site in Belize. Caracol stands in
beautiful rainforest scenery covering some 35sq miles and
with 36,000 structures marked so far. On the way back enjoy
a swim in the beautiful upper Macal River.
WED Day 12: Jaguar Paw Cave Tubing & Transfer to
Ambergris Caye Island (B,L)
Morning transfer to Belize
Airport. On the way you will enjoy a cave tubing tour on
Jaguar Paw. From Belize Airport you will fly to Ambergris
Caye Island over the blue waters of the Caribbean. Once at
the island you are transferred to your beachfront hotel.
Your hotel has an onsite dive shop where dive, snorkel &
other tours can be booked. It is also centrally located for
the shops and nightlife of San Pedro and itself has a great
bar & restaurant. Overnight Sunbreeze (4N)
THUR Day 13: Shark Ray Alley & Hol Chan Marine Park (B)
After breakfast you can enjoy the famous Shark Ray Alley and
Hol Chan Marine park snorkel trip. Then you can have a free
afternoon to relax or book another trip – payable locally.
FRI Day 14: Free day (B)
Today you can just relax on the beach, have some Spa
Treatments or we can help to arrange another trip,
windsurfing, snorkeling, diving etc – all payable locally.
SAT Day 15: Free day (B)
Today you can just relax on the beach, have some Spa
Treatments or we can help to arrange another trip,
windsurfing, snorkeling, diving etc – all payable locally.
SUN Day 16: Transfer out (B)
After breakfast we will transfer clients to the
international airport in time for their international flight
out.
