Participants should be in a reasonable shape to complete the ascent,
however, even athletic children of at least 14 years of age can take
part. On the other hand, if the ascent of the peak, a non-technical
hike, proves to be too difficult for you and you are unable to deal with
altitude and/or the steepness of the slope, hiking on the glacier itself
makes for a satisfactory experience and a fine day trip.
The trip is full-day undertaking, with
about 3 hours allocated for the roundtrip drive from/back to Denver and 6 hours for the
ascent.

in a luxury B&B with stunning views of St. Mary's Glacier, the historic Georgetown
or at Idaho Springs Hot Springs Resort.
