Colorado Gold Belt tour highlights

In the early 1890s the mining towns in the shadow of Pikes Peak enjoyed the greatest gold boom the state has ever known. This  tour focuses on the historic Cripple Creek and Victor while bringing you the stunning scenery dominated by Pikes Peak. The roads are narrow and rugged in places but the payoff comes in the outstanding scenery: majestic Pikes Peak, the unspoiled Beaver Creek Wilderness and miles of high-country beauty. Two significant fossil areas - Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument and the Garden Park Dinosaur Fossil Area - lie along the route and can be added as an option, as can also be Royal Gorge Bridge.

Total trip time roundtrip drive from/back to Denver is about 8 hours, including approx 2 hours for lunch sightseeing in Cripple Creak and Victor.

Tour Option: as 1 night / 2 day tour with overnight in Cripple Creek and extension to Royal Gorge Bridge.

Add-on Options:  Royal Gorge Bridge, Pike Peak, Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument.

Any tour can be customized per your wish, either combining it with additional Colorado destination or tailoring in activities such as  hiking, rafting or fishing - email us your request!
