Discover Colorado
Footloose Tours
is based in Denver, Colorado. Colorado is
our home and there are few limits, if any, on
what tours we can design for you in our state.
To list them all would make these pages too
cumbersome to navigate, hence we thought best to
settle on describing some of the most popular
and outline the key options for reference.
Needless to say, any of our tours can be
customized per your preferences, from quality of
hotels to places to be visited and activities to
include.
With Denver as the
main gateway for most clients, our most popular
tours are the day or overnight tours within
couple-hundred miles of the capital - and there
is no shortage of wonderful options to choose
from - Mt. Evans road to the summit, Guanella Pass,
Victorian Georgetown, St Mary's Glacier, James Peak
and Continental Divide, Rocky Mountain National
Park, the majestic Pikes Peak, Royal Gorge - the
world’s highest suspension bridge, the historic
gold towns of Cripple Creek and Victor, to name
a few. Colorado abounds in mountains and passes,
historic sites and museums, historic inns and hotels,
parks and monuments, scenic wonders, ghost towns,
historic railroads, wildlife, birds and
wildflowers, gems and minerals, rivers and
canyons, and then there is skiing...
With so much to offer, more than 50 peaks over 14,000 feet to
climb, the Continental Divide and Colorado
Trails to hike, many rivers to raft, ancient cliff dwellings
of the Anasazi Indians and picturesque Old West
towns tucked deep in the mountains to visit, one
needs more days to do justice to his travels in
Colorado. With more time to spare, no visitor to
Colorado should pass the opportunity to travel
Colorado on one of our
Grand Colorado Skyways!
And to make your
visit to Colorado more complete, you should
entertain a possibility to tie your Colorado
travels with glimpses of the stunning national
parks and historical sites of Colorado's
neighbors. It's not that much further to include
Moab's Arches National Park and the stunning
Monument Valley in Eastern Utah. The
ancient Indian pueblos of northern New Mexico
with the word-famous Taos and Santa Fe are only
just down the fertile San Luis Valley along the Los
Caminos Antiguos ("The Ancient Roads"), routes through the
region of the upper Rio Grande - the northern outpost of sixteenth century
Spanish territorial expansion. Then there is Jackson Hole, the Grand Tetons and
Yellowstone of Wyoming, and it's not too
far to Mount Rushmore and Black Hills of
South Dakota. And not to forget, it's
a spectacular journey across Colorado to the one
and only Grand Canyon of northern Arizona.
In short, the possibilities are endless and we
are here to make your travels around this part
of the United States truly memorable! |
