Day 3

SHANGHAI
to YICHANg
This morning is free to explore the city
.after lunch, fly to Yichang
where
you board your deluxe President
Cruise Ship
and settle into your comfortable outside cabin to begin
your memorable cruise upstream.

Day 4• YANGTZE RIVER CRUISE:
Stop at San Dou Ping this morning to see the historic Three
Gorges Dam project. Reboard the ship and sail through the
dramatic Three Gorges Ship lock before continuing through
Xiling Gorge, longest of the famed Three Gorges.

Day 5 • YANGTZE RIVER CRUISE:
Early this morning, delight in Wu Gorge's deep zigzagging
valley. At Wushan, transfer to a motorboat for an exciting
excursion on either Daning River or Shennong Stream to view
their breathtaking small gorges. Reboard the ship and soon
pass through the dramatic grandeur of Qutang Gorge, framed
by steep cliffs.

Day 6 • YANGTZE RIVER CRUISE:
Today's shore excursion shows the magnificent 12-story
wooden pagoda known as the "Pearl of the Yangtze" in scenic
Shibaozhai.

or Wanzhou.
Day 7 • CHONGQING to DAZU
Morning cruising through now-gentle
countryside to Chongqing, where you disembark the ship.
On arrival, motorcoach to Dazu, famed for its Buddhist
archeological sites. Lunch in Dazu; sightseeing includes
monumental Buddhist sculptures at Beishan and Baodingshan.
Return to Chongqing in the late afternoon and check into
your 5 star Hilton Chongqing
Hotel.

Day 8 • CHONGQING to XIAN
This
morning, out to visit the city zoo, where China’s most
celebrated animal, the Giant pandas are presented. Then move
on to visit the Stillwell Museum where you will attend a
lecture on the Flying Tigers, a group of brave American
veteran pilots led by retired Air Corps General Claire L.
Chennault. The Flying Tigers volunteered to aid the Chinese
in World War II against the Japanese invasion of China,
before Pearl Harbor was attacked. Fly to Xi'an this
afternoon. Check into the your 4 star

Day 9 • XIAN
Today’s
sightseeing includes the Terracotta Warriors Museum, the
Forest of Stone Steles Museum and the Big Wild Goose Pagoda.
The local specialty Dumpling dinner highlights dinner in the

Day 10 • XIAN
After
breakfast, you're off to see the sights, including
the City Wall, the Provincial History Museum,
the Small Wild Goose Pagoda and the Great Mosque. This
evening you're our guest at the Tang Dynasty Theatre's
fabulous dinner and show.

Day 11 • XIAN to BEIJING
Fly to
historic Beijing this morning. Check in to the 4 star
Guanxi Plaza Hotel. Tour the Temple of Heaven.
Tonight, you are invited to a Beijing Duck Dinner.

Day 12 • BEIJING
Enjoy a
wonderful day tour of Beijing, including the Badaling Great
Wall, the Sacred Way, the Ming Tombs and the Lama Temple.
After dinner, attend the remarkable Beijing Opera, including
a discussion and demonstration of the performers' elaborate
makeup and face painting.

Day 13 • BEIJING
Today,
Visit the Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City and the
Summer Palace. This evening, enjoy a farewell dinner
party.
